|Susan Trost is a network, messaging, and groupware systems consultant
with extensive experience in designing and implementing business solutions. Her
opinions on trends and technology have been published in industry leading magazines such
as Infoworld, Network World, PC World, and Lotus Notes
Prior to co-founding her own consulting company, Express Business Solutions, which has offices in Europe and the US and a portfolio of international clients, Susan was an international consultant for Andersen Consultings Network Solutions practice at their Chicago World Headquarters and held a number of positions at the European Headquarters of Lotus Development Corporation, in the United Kingdom. She has also worked as a consultant with American Management Systems, a leading systems integration firm, in their Federal Systems practice based at their Virginia, USA, Headquarters. During her career she has delivered network, messaging and collaborative systems consulting services for a wide variety of clients ranging from Fortune 100 companies to small highly focused niche organizations. Her broad industry background includes banking, utilities, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, public sector and computing.
Ms. Trost is an accomplished author, having contributed to a number of books, ranging from technical development to novice user, for Que Corporation, the leading publisher of computer related books. The recently published books she has worked on include the best selling "Special Edition:Using Lotus Notes 4.5 and Domino", and the "Professional Developers Guide to Domino."
Ms. Trost has extensive experience presenting to a wide variety of corporate audiences ranging from board level to end user and is known for her ability to take complex technological subjects and present them in an easy to understand way. She has presented at numerous national trade shows in the United Kingdom. While at Lotus Development, she developed new techniques for improving technology knowledge transfer between Lotus and their business partners.
Ms. Trost holds a M.S. from the internationally renowned Telecommunications Program at the University of Colorado. She also holds a degree in Communications, and in the little spare time she has she is a Doctoral candidate in Information Systems at the University of Salford in England.
